I bought is a few years back but New Vehicle was able to transport my kayak without it. This updated model Thule Hullavator 897XT was designed to work with both Square and Elliptical shaped Crossbars. Gas cylinder lift of your kayak up to 40lbs. by one person onto your car roof.
