Early - mid 80s Zion Turbo Super Strat with EMG 89 pickups. They're really sweet, active pickups with a 5-way switch, push/pull volume knob, with the coil split for the humbucker. Extremely versatile sonically. This thing is a beast. Built by Ken Hoover, pre-serial numbered era - when Zions were all custom built to order. This is a rare and very well-built guitar with one of the nicest (ebony) fingerboards and necks I’ve ever played on. Original Floyd Rose locking tremolo. There is virtually no fret wear whatsoever, as you can see in pictures. The frets were leveled, crowned and polished a few years ago and it hasn’t been played more than a few of times since. There are a handful of cosmetic dings and surface scratches - it is a 40+ year old guitar after all. It's structurally in excellent shape and plays awesome. I have a spec sheet in PDF format if anyone wants that. I've teetered back and forth on keeping it or selling it, but in reality I'm kind of treating it like a collector's item now... I hope to pass it along to someone who appreciates and plays it. I paid a pro to have it deep-cleaned and a fresh set-up, so it’s ready to rock with 10-46 strings. Comes with a padded gig bag.
