SONY CDP-X779ES CD Player 1992 Collectible Vintage Home Audio

Sony CDP-X779ES CD Player for sale. Manufactured in 1992 with the rare silver exterior face. Heavy, well-built electronic collectible for audiophiles. Functionality is near perfect. CDs play as they should including skip, ff, etc. The only issue I’m aware of is the CD tray intermittently needs a tap to close. However, I have not been able to replicate this issue and the CD tray has closed on its own. Condition is good with some minor flaws. The biggest issue is the blemish on the top left corner where some of the wood veneer material has chipped off. There are some abrasions on the top front edge of the unit. Both sides of the wood veneer have some minor scratches that are hard to capture in the photos. Front face of the unit is in excellent condition. Overall the CD Player is clean, functional, and ready for future use. Please see photos for complete description.
