This a fair price for this combo?
No, you should look for a newer gen Intel/ AMD CPU combo at this price. This should be no more than $170
It's not a bad price. The cpu alone goes for about 120 on ebay. Here you are getting the mobo and ram with it. A super budget build is what you would do. It is older tho from 2018 ish.
It's easily destroyed by a ryzen 5700/5800x or i5 12400f which can be found for around the same price or cheaper, and even a 3600 in multi threaded workloads.
If you specifically need all the components and you're on a budget for low-end 1080p gaming this would probably work fine, but uts dtill expensive
Not worth it. Newer gen Intel/AMD CPUs with the motherboard can be had for maybe $50 more
Agreed with OMGaming if you are putting together a cheap Gaming PC. Don't be pushed to buy the latest and greatest if you just want to game but check your preferred games hardware requirements online to make sure you're good. If you want to do video/audio editing or more advanced WS stuff then consider a newer setup. This is a 8C/8T CPU and it's pretty power hungry. But it should OC well with water-cooling. Working on my own build for sale with a RTX-3060ti GPU.
There's better deals out here for better performance to dollar. Just save a bit more to buy parts that will last you much longer compared to this 9th Gen intel when intels already on 15th gen
Probabaly worth saving a bit more for more recent components. A Gaming PC is never an emergency and can always wait
