I believe the “Italian provincial” is a style, not a location
Seeing the velvet (I’m an upholsterer) is older, the seats are probably going to be soft and you’ll sit thru them to the under board. I wouldn’t pay more than $100 for all 5. Unless you can ask them when they were last upholstered.
I’m hoping to have them upholstered. Are they worth it ?
I wouldn't invest any money in the improvement of these chairs. They're ugly (opinion) and out of style (fact) and don't appear to be heirloom quality from the photos.
