Description

This gives me hope; Vtg. 1960s Thickly Painted Acrylic Still Life: For almost a decade now, it has been tough to find really great vintage art…especially paintings…but this gorgeously large (24” x 48”) sunflower still gave me a spot of hope. This reminds me of the art I used to see as a kid. Thickly painted, a bit on the crude/primitive side, abstract and alive with color and optimism. I believe the signature reads J. Marin. They have the rope hanger hung vertically but J. Marin’s signature is on the horizontal. But, like most things, it is beautiful whatever the orientation. It’s basically an explosion of color; yellows, oranges, greens, reds, and blues. The outlining is thick and masterful. It’s truly a delight and at $150 it priced more than fairly. You still can find great art online but everyone is priced to the moon. Something this large and this age should be $350-$500 at least. No holds w/o a partial, non refundable deposit. That paid hold will buy you ten days. I DO NOT ship. I do not deliver. You can pay for an Uber to come pick it up for you but I will not come to you. No trades, exchanges, or returns. Once it’s in your possession, it’s yours. 9.5 out of 10 people are happy purchasers. It’s that half of person that gives me problems…😂 Follow me for more.
