Get to the point; Vintage Boston 55 Ranger Old School Pencil Sharpener: For those of you who don’t know, this is a pencil sharpener. Please tell me you at least know what a pencil is…yes, it’s a stick that writes with an eraser on its butt…but in the old days this is what we used to write with…yes, on those white sheets of emptiness that we call paper. But every Friday in my fifth grade class we sharpened our five pencils so that by the time Monday came along again, we’d be ready. I once sat next to a cute little redheaded girl and I don’t know what I said but she took one of her freshly sharpened pencils and jabbed it into my leg. Oh, yeah…I think I said, “Good morning.” But that was over 50 years ago and now we’re friends…I think…she’s probably reading this right now wondering how she can get away with jabbing another pencil into my other leg. But this heavy duty Boston 55 is a stunner. You’ll have to find a way to secure it to a workbench or a wall but it’s got “the look.” Even if you don’t write much, you’ll be inspired to write more just so you can use this pencil sharpener. It’s about 5.5” High and about 5” Across. Would be great in a little vintage vignette with a small chalkboard and a globe. Asking $45.
