Description

These are two very nicely made, and very nice looking Chinese Cinnabar lacquer boxes. The way that these are made is there are tons to hundreds of layers of this red lacquer that are spread onto a wood core and then after it is dry it is carved. It gives it a very interesting look, and it takes a whole lot of labor in order to make this. These are from the republic. so they are right around 100 years old. They could use a nice little cleaning, but structurally they are sound. A couple of minor dings here and there.
