Both units work, though they are at an age where they could each use a good cleaning. The wood grain unit on the bottom is a Magnavox and is solid state. The top one (black) is a Wollensack 3M and has a vacuum tube signal path. I will include a photo of the tube layout diagram from the back of the unit. I’ve tested all basic transport functions as well as recording on at least one channel on each unit and both work, however both units benefit from running audio playback through the line outs and through external speakers, as the built in speakers are aging and can get a bit scratchy. All of that disappears as soon as you play the audio back through external speakers, however. Both units have line inputs and outputs in addition to the front panel microphone inputs. $75 apiece, or $120 for both to get it down to $60 a pop.
