For sale is a very nice 1996 U.S. Mint Set in the original Mint packaging. This set includes all the regularly issued Mint State Coins released in 1996 from both the Denver and Philly Mints. That gives you two each of the Cent, Nickel, Dime, Quarter, and Half Dollar from those two Mints. But really makes this set top shelf is it includes a third Dime--the 1996-W Roosevelt Dime, which was minted to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the Roosevelt Dime. This coin is the second rarest coin of all Roosevelt Dimes for a couple reasons: First, it was the only mint state Roosevelt Dime ever minted at the West Point Mint. Second, it had a very low mintage of just 1.4 million coins. That may sound like a lot, but when you consider that they minted 1.4 BILLION of the 1996-D, you see how few coins the 96-W really is. Lastly, the 1996-W was never put into circulation. The only way you could get it was in this Mint Set. You'll find that most people are selling just this coin for much more than the entire Mint Set. As you can see from the pics the coins are in amazing condition with that gorgeous satin finish you expect from high quality Mint State coins. The coins have no toning or major blemishes at all, and they would easily grade at MS-69 or 70. This is a great set that includes an amazing rare coin at such a low price.
