American Standard Upright Bass

For sale (or trade) is my American Standard Stand-Up Bass. It is a 1959 bass with serial being 24xx. Overall it is in fantastic shape with the fingerboard and bridge set up for jazz, bluegrass, americana, rockabilly, pizz, and can be used to bow. The tone on this bass is huge and has tremendous thump and growl. These basses are known for their huge sound that booms in any context. I currently have Spirocore Mitt on them and the action is very low. The bass has an adjustable bridge and with full price will come with the full circle pickup. The bass also has a padded bag with wheels and backpack straps. Unlike many American Standard basses, this one does not have any breaks in the neck anywhere. The only real issue is a small puncture hole in the bottom that has been stable since I purchased it 7 years or so. It was like this well before I bought it. The hole can be repaired, but there is no need to as it does not effect the sound or function of the bass. I'm selling to find a bass with a thicker neck. Under rare circumstances will I be open to an electric bass for this as trade. I'm open to cash either way for the right trade. Let me know if you have any questions or would like to try it out.
