It features dual bays for flexible storage options and is capable of running Plex for multimedia streaming (direct play only as it doesn’t have the resources to do transcoding). This sleek black NAS is part of the Readynas product line, offering reliable and efficient storage solutions for your home or office networking needs. It has been factory reset and upgraded to firmware version 6.10.9, which is the final version of readynas software that supports app installs. Default credentials are admin / password. **Note** do not upgrade to 6.10.10. While that is technically the very last version of readynas firmware, the only difference is they disable app installs and netgear cloud apps. If you intend to install apps like plex, you NEED to keep it on 6.10.09.
