Description
The La Viscamine bond sheet is dated April 28 1928 and states social headquarters in Pontcharra, bearer title of 100 franc participation beneficiare vouchers. The "Papeterie Bayard" was founded by Jospeh Carre, signatory of the title, in Pontcharra in 1913. In 1918, he bought the shares of a company, which became the "Société Anonyme des Etablissements Joseph Carre: Forge, Estampage et Ateliers mechanics of Haut Grésivaudan". On April 28, 1928, he created the Company “La Viscamine S.A”. with, for its object, the manufacture, spinning, weaving, bleaching, dying and sale of artificial silk. However, probably because the manufacturing process chosen was not the right one, despite numerous research, tests and developments, the factory never produced or sold anything. Launched in 1929, it filed for bankruptcy in 1930 and closed its doors in 1931. A new company, "La Viscamine", took over the buildings in 1936, but stopped in 1939.
