This is an extraordinary pair of Italian neoclassical urns, masterfully crafted and richly ornamented in the Empire or late 18th–early 19th century style. The urns feature a warm-toned burlwood veneer with a lustrous finish, adorned with intricate gilt floral garlands and rosettes that drape elegantly around the form. Two mythological figures are positioned on either side of the urn, depicted in dynamic poses as if drawing bows. Their sculptural detailing, with flowing drapery and expressive features, adds a lively mythological narrative to the piece.
