1980s "Dan Smith" Fender Stratocaster body with beautiful and thoughtfully arranged custom modifications. Only the beautiful, original Strat body of this guitar has been left untouched, the beautifully worn finish and paint, the two hippy stickers that have been there for 20 years at the very least, are part of what gives it so much life and depth, keeps it tethered to its history while all of the following additions add their own touches and personality. Warmoth neck with custom zebra wood headstock. DiMarzio pickups. Tun-O-Matic bridge. All the gorgeous brass hardware came straight from the legendary Stars Guitars in San Francisco's famous Haight Ashbury! This guitar has such a beautiful and unique full bodied and deep sound. It truly can't be matched. I bought it on a whim when I saw it hanging on the wall of my favorite music store in LA (Other Music) and I just had this immediate need to know everything about it and hear it and play it. I then used it to record an entire album and am so so happy with how it came out. Unfortunately, I am moving and wont be able to take it with me so I am hoping to find someone who feels a similar draw to it. I spent around $150 getting it nicely set up and adjusted very recently and haven't played it since. Has brand new strings, all tuned up and ready to go!
