Description

Title: 2004 Ford F-150 Super Cab XL - 5.4L V8 2 Wheel Drive - $1500 Vehicle Specs: VIN: 1FTPX12504NB41054 Trim: XL Pickup 4D (6 1/2 ft bed) Mileage: 204,183 Engine: 5.4L V8 Transmission: Automatic Drivetrain: 2WD Color: Red Overview: Clean Title Great project truck, parts vehicle, or local hauler. We’ve mainly used it for yard projects and hauling bikes/kayaks since buying it locally in Sept 2021 (at 196,318 miles). It’s currently driven two days a week for my son's commute to Sherwood, but it is ready for its next owner who can give it some mechanical attention. Condition & Upgrades: Body and interior are in excellent shape for its age. Interior was deep-cleaned (seats removed) and fitted with custom seat covers and floor mats. Includes an aftermarket portable backup camera. No stereo head unit installed. Significant deferred maintenance completed by Meineke, Steve's Auto, and Jiffy Lube (all maintenance records available). The Mechanics & Known Issues (Being Fully Transparent): Timing/Engine Noise: Cold starts are noisy with a decent amount of clacking. The assumption is that, at a minimum, a complete timing rebuild is needed. Recent Repairs: The truck recently threw engine codes P0119, P0012, and P0340, accompanied by a rough idle when warm and intermittent "phaser buckling" (a hesitation/misfire feel between 45–55 MPH). We replaced the VCT solenoids (Motorcraft) and Cam Phase Sensors (Autozone). Current Status: The recent sensor replacements fixed the rough idle and successfully cleared codes P0012 and P0340. The phaser buckling is improved but still present. Code P0119 (Cylinder Head Temperature sensor) remains on. Quirks: Rear windows roll down from the driver's master switch but will not roll back up from there. They roll up and down perfectly using their individual rear door switches. Was asking $2000....now down to $1500. Message me with any questions!
