Description
For Sale is a Vintage Ampeg B-100 Bass Amp, USA Made Selmer Era Ampeg. (Hard To Confirm when exactly it was made due to the third serial number system ampeg was on but by logo and graphics puts this one right between 1973 to 1979) This is a 20 Watt Solid State Amp going through a 1x10 Eminence? Check out the photos and see for yourself. The 67 Speaker Code Leads me to Believe this is an eminence speaker, but I have an assumption that Logistically, This Actually Might be a Utah Speaker Since they had a Factory in Huntington Indiana. This thing sounds way louder than 20 Watts but that's what I'm seeing it's rated from Ampeg. For Just about my entire life I always thought this was a 1x12 50 watt bass amp. I've used it before in everything from Garage Bands to Jazz Labs and have never had an issue keeping up the loudness with a drummer in the mix. I use this as a Guitar amp most of the time and turn the Bass Pot to 0 and adjust the Treble to the level I need. Overall Condition of this amp is in great shape for its age. There are 2 small nicks in the Torlex that have been Covered up by Black Tape but they really are too small to fuss over. One thing I do want to point out about this Amp is that it still has the Original 2 Prong Power Cable. While the amp works well with no issues, the 2 Prong Power cord gives off a lot of white noise when not plugged into a ground transformer outlet. this happens especially with Single Coil Pickups. I would highly recommend getting that replaced to a modern 3 Prong Cable and after that you have a solid Vintage Ampeg for Cheap. Asking $200 OBO, If you go to my page you will see everything I have posted right now and Growing.
