Survival Kit Lightweight Paulin--1967Original USAF issue Paulin, Lightweight, Size 77 which was a component of various Vietnam-era aviation survival kits, rubberized nylon construction with grey surface on one side, yellow surface on the other, and blackened brass grommets on edges. Mfg by MOPLATEX INC. and dated 1967. Measures 130 x 83 inches. Some discoloration to yellow side from years of storage, but no holes, tears, stiffness, or other damage. Has label on one corner showing how to fold the paulin for use as a ground-to-air signal panel, and could also be used for making improvised shelter, water collection, etc. Nice piece for completing your VN period aviation survival kit and is in very good condition.
