Bedroom Suite This complete, custom, hand-made bedroom suite was commissioned from world-renowned wood craftsman Loyd Parker. We chose Parker for his passion for modern furniture and because he creates mixed media furniture utilizing shapes, colors, and textures with the intent to transform its original function. We provided Parker with a simple sketch of a modern bedroom suite with an Arabian Nights Scheherazade look and he transformed that original idea into ‘functional’ art objects. His craftmanship and attention to detail is second-to-none! You MUST see this to appreciate the quality of workmanship. He used real Wenge wood laminate for the surface (Wenge is a medium-high density, medium-high Janka hardness wood with a medium brown color with black streaks and a coarse texture). Wenge is also used as design inserts in the drawer facings. Custom hardware completes the look. This complete set includes: 1. A California King platform bed with a recently purchased Nectar Premier Gel Memory pillowtop mattress. Dimensions: 93.5” L x 79.25” W x 27” H 2. Headboard with custom-fabricated distressed leather inserts. Dimensions: 91.5” W x 3.5” D x 75.25” H 3. Two (2) 6-drawer side-tables. Each side-table is angled left/right to complement the dresser. Drawers are deep. Dimensions of each side-table: 44.25” W x 18” D x 21.5” H 4. 6-Drawer dresser. Each side is angled to complement the side-tables. Drawers are deep. Ceiling Structure: This structure completes the Scheherazade look (bed curtains that create a private, cozy, sensuous atmosphere). The curtains were imported from Japan at $120 yard. The structure also incorporates lighting at pivotal points. Transformers for the 12-volt lighting are included. The ceiling structure dimensions upon request. [Note 1: It is an intricate shape (see photos) so make sure your ceiling can accommodate the structure.] [Note 2: While the Ceiling Structure completes the Scheherazade look and provides lighting, not every room can accommodate the size/shape of this structure.
