You light up my world; Vintage Pan Am Repogle Light Up Globe with Raised Topography: As a former elementary school teacher, I love finding those pieces that remind me of when I was in school. I don’t know exactly what it is, but there’s a deep sense of comfort I feel when I find these things whether it be an old typewriter, or a crank pencil sharpener, or an old globe. This one is extra special. Not only does it have raised topography and the USSR displayed (which means it’s pre 1991) but it is also one of those fancy shmancy illuminated globe. The light bulb is a bit loose so you might have to tighten it but other than that, it’s a beautiful “relic” from the Cold War era of things. This is more than likely from the early 1960s. It is 12” in Diameter and sits on a 5.5” x 8” simulated wood base. I do have it listed at $79 which is actually very reasonable for an illuminated globe. It’s perfect for the study or the home library. It’s in great, well taken care of condition and looks almost new. No holds, shipping, deliveries, trades, exchanges, or returns.
