Description

This upright piano was built in 1880 in NYC. The Pigott family of Dublin, Ireland, were the first owners. My family has owned the piano since 1947. My dad brought the piano to Connecticut in the mid-1970s. This piano has been loved and belongs in a caring home. My Dad is a Trinity, Dublin-trained doctor who played countless hours of Brahms, Chopin, and Beethoven. His much older cousin, Ruth Bridburg, picked out the piano. Ruth was a concert pianist in London and New York. Dad is older now and has not played the instrument in the last two years. Buyer assumes moving costs. $9500 or Best Offer The soundboard has a crack, but the piano sounds wonderful. The case has the wear and tear of a 145 year old instrument. Case is only in good condition water stain on top, chipped paint, missing paint see video. Foot of piano and molding small damage. Structurally in very good condition.
