Description
Vintage Coro Sunburst Brooch – Gold-Tone with Amethyst Rhinestones, Mid-Century Atomic Design (1950s–60s) Mark: “Coro” in script — their primary hallmark used from the 1930s through the 1970s. A little dull in tone from the decades of love it has lived. A sunburst/starburst brooch, a popular Coro motif from the 1950s–1960s. Please check out my other listings. If you like vintage things I will be posting items from my great grandmother's jewelry box. There was so many little treasures inside of it. I know somebody will find some joy out of them. I'm not sure why it's not allowing me to not add shipping. But I do ship. And I do combine orders. Thank you for looking. Gold-tone metal with a central purple rhinestone (amethyst-colored glass) surrounded by smaller stones or rays. Roll-over safety clasp typical of mid-century pieces. Materials: Gold-tone plated base metal (not solid gold) and glass rhinestones. Era: Circa 1955–1965, right in Coro’s “radiant” mid-century period when atomic and sunburst designs were trending.
