Custom Made "Subkick" Bass Drum Bass Amp Microphone 1 Of A Kind HUGE...PLZ READ!

Description

Hello and thanks for looking! For decades, a secret weapon producers have utilized to capture big bass drum and bass amp sounds is to use an actual speaker as a microphone. Even The Beatles were using this trick. In recent years, a few mic companies have set to market their own out of the box version of this mic. They look slick and sound good. On top of being very costly, my main gripe with these models has always been that they employ either too small or too big a speaker driver. Most go too small, and the cone/magnet is simply not big enough to capture and move low end frequencies. I suspect this is to keep cost and shipping size down. Very few have gone with too big a driver. The issue there is mass. The heavier the cone becomes, the harder it is for the sound waves to move. I have built and sold my own spin on this mic for years. No two are exactly alike and I go for the antique look. But this is NOT your grandpa's bass mic at 16 inches tall and weighing a ton! I call these, simply, Godzilla. Yes...it will very likely need pad attenuation at your mixer or in line via pad adapter/direct box. And yes...it does one trick only. But it's one helluva trick! If you're looking for a one of a kind, custom made, antique looking bass drum/bass amp mic look no further. WE MADE IT IN THE STYLE OF A "Subkick" MIC USING BOTH VINTAGE AND MODERN PARTS!! It's a working dynamic floor standing microphone. These mics are not in perfect shape due to the age of the parts used...they have a very slight patina to them so do NOT expect perfection! These are handmade so EXPECT slight scratches and marring that is unable to be perfectly photographed! The mic has a wired cable terminated with a 3 pin male XLR plug.
