My wife and I are on our 4th Subaru and we absolutely love our Ascent! We have bought all four of our Subarus through Subaru Portland, and we won’t go anywhere else! Our Ascent did have a small defect and everyone at Subaru of Portland did a wonderful job making sure we were taken care of as quickly as possible.

Big shout out to Vaughn and Ray, who took the extra time to make sure everything went smoothly!!

One of the worst car buying experiences here. When I bought my sti brand new from here the sales people were horrible! I was already pre approved and wanted to test drive a sti and the sales guy literally put a blank piece of paper on the table and said to sign it that I was gonna buy the car.

It was so embarrassing, I should have left then. Lucky for them I wanted the car and was gonna get it regardless but would never buy another car from here again.

We had a great customer service with Ariana Koehl. She is very professional and she helped us a lot with pricing and everything else. We ended up buying a 2025 Subaru Outback!

I wanted to share my recent experience of buying a new Subaru with Kian. From start to finish, Kian was fantastic to work with. He was professional, knowledgeable, and incredibly patient
throughout the entire process.
Kian answered all my questions thoroughly and helped me find the perfect car for my needs and budget. He took the time to explain all the features of my new Subaru and made sure I was
comfortable with my decision before moving forward. I never felt pressured or rushed, which made the whole experience enjoyable.

UPDATE: After I left my one-star review, I received a call from the head honcho himself, which I appreciated. He was apologetic and took responsibility for the confusing price change and asked my opinion on how they could make this less confusing to future buyers. He also offered to have his people look for another Element for me, which I thought was a nice offer. In the end, I found my Element at another dealership but am changing my review to three stars because of the kind follow-up call. I still don’t understand how a dealership can post one price ($14k) and then change it by $5k later. I mean, if I had driven hours to get there to look at a $14k vehicle to be told it’s now $19k, I would’ve been pretty upset. Hopefully, they have rectified that to read “call for pricing”.

Original: I called on an Element that just came in and looked great. Was helped by Jansen and Val who were both very friendly and answered my questions as I was extremely interested in it and had been looking for a while, with cash in hand. I called on Friday and it had just come in and needed detailing which was scheduled for Monday morning. I said I’d wait until then even though I knew I probably should’ve gone in over the weekend. I texted Jansen at 8am Monday, after moving some appointments around, so I could get in right away. Didn’t hear back from him for a bit and then he texted me that it was pending a phone sale and he would let me know if the sale didn’t go through. I then saw it posted on marketplace so I wrote Val. He was headed in to office and said he’d get back to me. When he did, he said it’s currently being test-driven and he would let me know if they were going to buy it. Hmmm…I thought it was pending sale? I could’ve come in before these people who were currently test driving. Fast forward another hour or so and I get the message it’s being sold and there are five other people who were being delivered the bad news. I get an apologetic message that someone in another state purchased it and there were many people wanting it.
I was deflated and blaming myself for not going in over the weekend. Jansen even went the extra mile to message me about some other vehicles he thought I may be interested in. I thought, “wow, these folks are really good people. I just wish I’d gone in over the dang weekend”. I thanked Jansen and asked him to let me know if they get another Element in. Then, later that night-in my online searching-what pops up? Well, that same Element, at their location, listed for $5k more. What’s most infuriating is I most likely would have paid that much but now I won’t because that just showed me their business tactics are really questionable.
