Description

1988 BMW 325i Alpine White Exterior/Black leather Interior Automatic 210k Miles Shown (actual miles lower) Limited Slip Differential VIN: WBAAD2305J(contact info removed) $6200 Located in Elkton, MD 21921 Up for sale is my 1988 BMW 325i sedan. Personally my favorite year since you can either keep the diving boards or directly swap to plastic bumpers. I purchased this car to use a daily cruiser to and from work. I put several thousands of miles on the car and its never left me stranded or given me issues. It is in good drivers condition and is an honest car with some cool options such as; a limited slip differential, rear headrests, ellipsoid headlights, map light mirror, premium speakers, M tech steering wheel, etc. I no longer have to commute for work so I am focusing my time on other vehicles. The car is tagged/insured in my name and driven regularly. Below I will list some further details about the car: Exterior: The Alpine white paint shows well and I believe to be all original single stage. All of the original VIN tags are present which is tough to find these days. There are imperfections as to be expected. There are a few various dents/dings which can be seen in the photos. I think all of these could be removed with PDR. There is some rust on the car, while it is better than most, it is still present. This includes; the rear lower valance under battery, bottom rear/front edge of the driver rocker, some bubbling on the sunroof, and some paint chips that have begun to turn. The exterior shows wear on the added IS spoiler and front valance from normal driving. There is a stainless steel cat back exhaust that was added as well which is not too loud. The basket weave wheels are in good shape with some minor cosmetic wear. The tires are starting to show their age. Interior: The interior is in overall good shape. There is some wear to be seen but nothing abnormal for the age/mileage. There is a split in the front seat. I was going to upgrade to sport seats or find a replacement comfort seat but never got around to it. Otherwise, the interior is a nice place to be. The carpet is in good shape with some minor staining, the door panels are intact, headliner is tidy, etc. There is a crack on the dash. There is an aftermarket radio installed which works as it should, but has some static coming from one of the rear speakers when turned up louder. Occasionally the driver seat gear doesn't catch but I don't adjust the seat often so haven't had an issue with it. Everything else works minus the AC. The AC belt was removed when I purchased the car and was never put back on. Unsure why it was removed. Mechanical: The car is in pretty good mechanical shape as far as an E30 goes. I have put 3-4k miles on the car this year and a few long trips with confidence. The cluster shows 210k miles but the car has around 150-160k. The cluster was swapped by the previous owner due to the gears going bad and did not keep the old one unfortunately. The transmission was serviced (new torque converter) in 2021, as well as a rebuilt rack and pinon. The cooling system/timing belt was also done in 2021 by the previous owner. I have replaced the clutch fan, new stainless steel brake lines all around, brake fluid flush, oil change w/ filter and spark plugs and battery. There is an occasional stumble during idle/light acceleration. I think it could probably benefit from a valve adjustment, cap and rotor soon. The oil pan/valve cover looks to have a slow seep but does not leave drops in the garage nor have I had to top it off. There was an aftermarket alarm that was installed many years ago which is still there. It does not cause any issues so I just left it alone. The car drives, shifts and stops as you would expect from an E30 with no alarming issues. If you have any other questions please let me know! Again, I am asking $6200 and located in Elkton, MD 21921. No trades at this time unless it's a rust free GMT(contact info removed)hd.
