Vintage Shabby Chic Shefco Larder Cabinet/Hoosier Cabinet

Custom painted 1940's-1950's Vintage Shabby chic Shefco Larder Cabinet/Hoosier Cabinet. This cabinet had good bones but really needed some character. It needed a few minor repairs/veneer fill etc. I then painted it a light yellow/cream, as the base coat. The inside was painted a peach color already so some of that shows through the cream color but blends and goes really nicely. Over the base color I gave a satin light blue coat of paint making sure some of the wood shows through. I was going for a very retro 50's vibe. I then found some great fabric that had cherries on it. I glued the fabric to the 3 smaller shelves in each section and has some material left over adding that to the inside of the drawers for some more pop of fun color. I finally gave it a matte varnish finish. The middle sections folds down and honestly this is made for a kitchen but this great piece could be used as a desk surface also. Lots of functional uses for this great piece. The hardware is original so I painted it all red to tie in the cherries and to also give it a pop of color to the outside. The windows are beautiful with a lined frosted design. This custom piece won't last long. It's not too big or heavy. The last picture shows the before pic. Hope you like!
