Al ( Artificial Intelligence states the frame shop was in business mid 1950's thru 1960's So it dates the item to that time frame. Kalagas are known for their intricate hand embroidery, often featuring metallic threads, beads, sequins, and glass stones on a fabric background, typically black velvet. The threads are beautiful ( silk ) with other materials as well to add color , dimension And beauty. The frame was a popular place for framing In Hong Kong during that time frame when it was open to the public and tourists that came to have things framed. Minor staining on photo , where noted by pointing with my finger . As well as scratches noted on the frame itself. Lovely item overall , and would be beautiful hanging. Thankyou for looking.
