Beautiful antique secretary desk/bookcase/china cabinet made by famed Maddox Tables of Jamestown, NY circa 1925 in very good condition. A Colonial Revival Governor Winthrop style secretary desk with refined lines and exceptional workmanship. The top is a glass door bookcase or china cabinet with an ornate arch pediment and flame finial (center spire) Slant front opens to a fitted interior. A spacious writing surface with a fan carved center drawer plus additional drawers & open compartments for sorting stamps, paperclips or other sundries. You may choose to conceal desk contents or leave it up to display the organizational compartments. The four large drawers feature an ox bow or serpentine style that will perfectly hide your napkins, tablecloths or other small linens. Beautifully carved cabriole legs with ball and claw feet add more curves to this charming piece.
