Dresden Porcelain Antique 1900s Boy Wheelbarrow Fancy Gravy Boat Candy Dish Planter Great antique condition consistent with its age. Damage: one of the wheel barrow handles is broken in the middle. We couldn't find it to glue it back on. Pictures are part of the description, please check them & let me know if you require additional ones. Owner’s grandparents brought it from Europe, Germany to be exact . There is a very small red stamp at the back, no other identification - stylized X was often used by Dresden porcelain manufacturers. * Interesting Fun Facts (Specific to this style): * Putto" (plural: putti) - a classical figure of chubby male child, frequently appearing in Renaissance, Baroque, and Rococo art. Putti are often associated with love, merriment, and sometimes playfulness. While similar to religious cherubs, putti are typically secular. * These types of figurines were status symbols in affluent homes, serving as intricate decorative elements that showcased wealth and an appreciation for art. * The delicate details and gradients in color indicate hand-painting, a time-consuming and skilled process that adds to the craftsmanship of the piece.
