ANTIQUE GLOBE WERNICKE BARRISTER GLASS FRONT CABINET! STACKABLE SHELVES ARE SOLID OAK & ABOUT 100 YEARS OLD!! I have a really cool antique bookshelf glass front doors that swing up and slide in. This is called a barrister cabinet. These pieces were used by lawyers many decades ago to protect and display their expensive and valuable law books. These shelves are stackable. Some of these shelves are 6 shelves tall. This barrister cabinet that I have is three tears/shelves tall. It can be unstacked into two levels or even just one glass shelf by itself. The Globe Wernicke company was famous for making the best and highest quality barrister cabinets in the world. That’s why if you look online, Globe Wernicke barrister cabinets are very very expensive. These are selling online anywhere from $850 all the way up to $2,600! Even the kind that I have that is only three layers tall, most dealers are asking around $1,200 for it. This one that I have that is built by the Globe Wernicke company is originally from either the 1920s or early 1930s, dating it at about 100 years old, give or take a few years. There are some blemishes in the wood, finish here and there. But the wood itself is not damaged at all. Just some of the top surface finish is scuffed in small places. The glass front doors open and close perfectly and slide in and out very well. All three shelves/tears are the same size. Shelf space for all three shelves are 11 x 32 This entire cabinet is 49 1/2 inches tall 34 inches wide 11 1/2 inches depth I am asking only $450 for this beauty! I am located near the intersection of Arlington Expressway and Cesery Boulevard if you would like to come see this. I can deliver for a $50 delivery fee if you are anywhere here in Jacksonville. Anywhere outside of Jacksonville we can negotiate a delivery fee. For example: It’s about a five hour round-trip for me to deliver to Orlando. I charge $300 to deliver to Orlando. So basically, I charge $60 an hour for my time on the road for however far I will be delivering a piece. Unless you are located in Jacksonville, in which case I’ll deliver to anywhere in Jacksonville for a $50 delivery fee. No, I will not ship this for $15.99 ha ha. It’s just that this app gave me the option to ship it and I figure it would give it more exposure
