Amazing mid-century modern MCM 50s 60s striped upholstered 7 ft couch This is really unique and special. You don't see mid-century couches this cool and in this good of condition very often. Condition is super clean. It was taken very good care of obviously. I don't see any fading or staining or wear or rips or funky smells. I don't know anything about the home it came out of but I don't think they had dogs or anything. No smoke smell either. 7 ft long, 83 and 1/2 in, 26 and 1/2 in tall including the legs, about 23 and a half without them. If you wanted to make it look cool, some wooden vintage style angled legs would look really great. As it is it has 3 in or so wooden legs on the back and the front has round rolling plastic wheels typical of the era, although it looks like somebody put them on from something else. Normally these would be on the back I think. But they don't show. The height is not bad but I think it could stand to be a little taller and would show the legs if you put some on. But it's really fine as it is too. Depth is 33 in. This couch will look amazing in your home with all your teak and wood or formica atomic pattern mid-century furniture, or whatever you want to do with it . It had a weird feature. I think the manufacturer wanted to make it a little updated in the late '60s maybe so they had some vinyl straps around Cushing's that were put on the arms. It looked really weird so I took them off. I believe in maintaining originalities generally, but I'm quite sure no one ever would have wanted this. But I still have the straps if someone wishes to reinstall them. As it is you can see a couple of cushions that are available. They would be great made into maybe a round cylinder cushion for each side, or a rectangular cushion for each side. You might even have enough fabric to make one of those little armrest covers if you wanted. But it doesn't really need anything. You could just put some other throw pillows like bright complimentary colors like orange or something, or teal maybe, or nothing at all would still look fine. The couch was very well made sturdy high quality. It's all the same fabric underneath the cushions and that's in great shape as well. Cushions are in good shape on both sides and have zippers for cleaning or replacing the foam, although the foam seems pretty good as it is. Delivery is possible anywhere around the Seattle area for free or a reasonable fee if a little further. I was able to fit it into a hatchback with the end hanging out so you may be able to move it with any hatchback or SUV. But I can deliver it for you maybe.
