Vintage 1925 Buescher True Tone Alto Saxophone

Gorgeous 1925 Buescher True Tone alto saxophone in great condition. This horn is officially 100 years old, and looks great! It's in a rare and original gold plate finish which gives it a beautiful warm glow under light (comes through poorly in listing photos), which has held up very well aside from some wear and oxidation. It could likely be polished to a gleam with some work! Unlike most other horns of this era you'll find for sale, it is playing quite well on older but not ancient pads. The tone is soft and sweet, worlds apart from the edgy and often sterile sounds of modern horns. It is currently fitted with custom putty risers on the palm/side keys which could easily be sanded down or removed. If you want an instrument that is both collectable and functional, look no further.
