Description

The design of this round is based on the Buffalo Nickel, a five-cent piece designed by James Earle Fraser and minted in the United States from 1913 to 1938. The obverse of the nickel features a portrait of a Native American, while the reverse depicts an American bison, commonly known as a buffalo. While the Buffalo Nickel was a circulating coin, this particular item is a privately minted silver round. These rounds are often produced by private mints as a way for individuals to invest in silver, and they typically contain one troy ounce of .999 fine silver.
