I BOUGHT THIS VIOLIN IN BATH ENGLAND IN 1973. AN OPINION BY A LATER AUTHORITY IS THAT IT WAS MADE OVER 100 YEARS AGO AS A STUDENT INSTRUMENT. IT HAS AN ATTRACTIVE FAUX BURLED CASE. Was played recently from a violinist, and I have video of her, explaining that there is a crack in the sound board box, part, and of her playing it, it does not seem to affect the sound that resonates from the violin.
