Made famous by Hendrix and Page, This is the classic all-in-one setup with serious vintage vibe and tone to match. Everything has been gone through so it’s not just a display piece, it’s ready to plug in and play for decades to enjoy again. What’s included: - Original Silvertone guitar - Matching in-case tube amp - Isolation transformer (installed/tested for safe operation) - All original parts I removed (included in sale) - "case candy" includes 3 vintage, period correct Marathon picks and the original 1/4" instrument cable. Condition & Work Done: - Amp has been fully serviced and tested - Updated filter capacitors and replaced the "death cap" with a Y1-spec film capacitor guaranteeing that it fails open instead of dead shorting 120vAC to the strings. Original vacuum tubes tested good emissions and no leakage. - Original damaged speaker has been replaced with a Jensen C6V 6" ceramic speaker. - Dedicated Isolation transformer included with sale so the next owner can safely use it. No risk of shock regardless of what orientation the plug is in. - Guitar has been set up - original frets leveled, crowned, and polished, new rosewood bridge cut and installed, electronics cleaned, and stripped screws have been replaced with new relic'd hardware. - Cosmetic wear throughout (scuffs, scratches, normal vintage wear) — no major structural issues Most of these you see are either unserviced, unsafe, or just wall hangers. This one has already had the important work done, including the isolation transformer, so you’re not risking shock or dumping money into repairs right away. Tone: Raw, gritty vintage tube breakup. Garage rock, blues. These things full tilt are only around 3W so clipping comes on hard and FAST. Shockingly quiet, with cranked amp feel and response. Notes: - This is a vintage piece, not a modern reissue - While I've done everything to return this to a solid player's condition, this is still a 61 year old instrument. It has some worn corners and edges as it's lived its life. I've done the best I can to document all cosmetic defects. - Everything you need to return it to stock is included if you so desire.
