Description

This person, Mohamed L., asked for my phone number since he was interested in purchasing an item that I posted on OfferUp. After I provided my phone number he said he sent me a Google 6 digit code to verify my identity. Problem... I contacted local authorities who advised that this is likely a scam and Mohamed was trying to obtain access to my identity, via my phone. Don’t provide codes to people you don’t know—- they are trying to scam you! These scammers are targeting people who list items for sale on places like Offer Up. Be careful who contacts you!
