Description

Hey you! Are you looking for something that needs almost no work done to it and isn’t half bad to look at? Are you looking for a car that’s good on gas and is a great daily commuter? Parents, are you looking for a great starter car? Something for your son that you know he can’t really speed in? Are you looking for a car that your daughter won’t be able to have someone in the back seat? Well look no further as I present my 2007 Volkswagen Rabbit 2.5l automatic! This car has taken so many hours from my life, deflated my wallet immensely, broke two of my fingers, and has made me cry on multiple occasions. I’ve had this car for 2 years and 10,000 miles. Within that 2 years and 10,000 miles I have replaced: -Battery -Alternator -Starter -Thermostat/housing and every hose, gasket, and clamp coming off the housing -Both front axles -Front brakes (pads and rotors) -Front struts -Front ball joints -Both inner and outer tie rods -Left front wheel bearing -Dog bone mount insert -The vacuum pump on the 2.5l leaks badly over time, so I deleted it -New intake manifold gaskets -New throttle body gaskets -New map sensor -New spark plugs -Both secondary air intake hoses -New drive belts -New exhaust cat back -Rear brakes, pads, rotors, calipers (one new brake line on one caliper $77 from VW) -Rear Shocks -Both rear wheel bearings -Rear sway bar bushings -6 out of 8 new rear control arms -Remaining control arms got new bushings put in -New Bushings on the rear hub that connect to the control arms -New eccentric washers for the rear alignment -The wheels are 16” from a 2010 Jetta -Tires have less than 4,000 miles on them and are in great shape! -This car has been on an alignment rack 4 different times! ($150 each) -New resistor for the blower motor As you can see this car needs almost nothing. Tally it all up and that’s around $14,000 in dealer labor alone! Not even including the price of parts. Now for the cons -Could use a new flex pipe on the exhaust (connected to the cat and the cat is still good) -Could use new right front wheel bearing in the near future -And as you can tell by the photos the interior isn’t the best -minor rust (side skirts and the drivers fender) -Doesn’t have a rear wiper arm (motor still works!) -Recirculating flap makes a weird noise on start up and in reverse but it doesn’t affect the drivability of this car -Okay fine you twisted my arm the radio isn’t the best either. That’s all the problems I know of with this car But I can’t be responsible for everything! For my asking price you’re getting a great deal. I just had a child and a car seat and a two door just don’t mix well. Despite the jokes this AD is very much real. I’m so sad to let this car go as I have quite the attachment to it now but it’s time. Basically you’re buying all these new parts that are bolted and torqued together to make a Volkswagen Rabbit and you’re getting the shell, motor, and transmission for free. It doesn’t leave oil spots or coolant spots in your favorite parking spot. Starts great and shifts great. Can provide receipts for 95% of these parts. I’m willing to negotiate on the price a little. But don’t low ball me. She’s not much to look at but is far from being junk. This car could easily go another 150k miles and you’re already getting $14k of free labor. Car sold AS IS. I not longer have the time to put anymore into it.
