A lightweight compact mixer with XLR inputs for taking professional-quality audio signals from two sources, and then mixing them together for output to a camera with a stereo 1/8" (3.5mm) microphone input. It is suitable for filmmakers who use camcorders, DSLR, and mirrorless cameras, and need extra mic- or line-level inputs and the ability to control the output levels. The unit features two balanced XLR input jacks that accept a range of microphone- or line-level sources such as from balanced XLR microphones, wireless microphones, preamplifiers, and external audio mixers. An auxiliary input allows for connecting wireless devices with an 1/8" (3.5mm) output, such as a smartphone or an MP3 player. The fully passive circuit design does not require batteries or external power for operation while keeping the signal clear from unwanted noise. A ground switch (GND) can be engaged to prevent unwanted noise and hum from affecting the sound. A mono/stereo selector switch allows for audio signals to be sent to two separate channels (in stereo mode) or combined into one channel (when set to mono). The input levels of each channel can be controlled using the dual stepped trim control knobs. For attaching to a camera or camcorder, the unit features a 1/4"-20 threaded post with a wheel for convenient and secure connection. A threaded socket on the base of the unit allows for mounting the adapter on a tripod.
