Description
Please read everything below, including clicking on “See more”. ***The White Euphorbia Milii, commonly known as the White Crown of Thorns, is a succulent shrub belonging to the Euphorbiaceae family. It is native to Madagascar and is well-known for its thorny stems and striking white bracts that are often mistaken for flowers. The actual flowers are tiny and located at the center of the white bracts. This plant blooms almost year-round in warm, sunny environments. It can grow either as a bushy shrub or a single-stem tree, depending on growing conditions and pruning style. Key Features: • Scientific name: Euphorbia Milii • Common names: Crown of Thorns, Christ Plant • Flower color: White (bracts), with small yellow true flowers in the center • Growth habit: Shrubby or tree-like succulent with thorny stems • Leaves: Oval, fleshy, bright green, usually near the tips of stems • Light: Prefers full sun for best flowering • Water: Drought-tolerant; water moderately and allow soil to dry between waterings Interesting fact: Despite its thorny appearance, the White Euphorbia Milii is often grown as an ornamental plant for its long-lasting blooms and symbolic connection to the biblical “Crown of Thorns.” If you’re growing it outdoors, bring it inside when temperatures approach 10°C (50°F).
