2007 Subaru Forester X 2.5L Automatic (non-turbo version) Just a skosh under 100k miles The transmission went out about 6 months ago and i’ve been trying to decide whether to fix it since then so it will need to be towed on a flat bed. I was quoted $2k at a local shop to swap the transmission out. Or if you can DIY it I’m seeing used ‘06 - ‘08 forester transmissions on ebay for around $460. Starts and runs (battery might be dead from sitting), engine is in good shape to my knowledge. Head gasket and timing belt done in 2018. 2 owners - my mom bought it new in 2007. She’s a good car, would love it if someone mechanically savvy could save her from the junk yard. Open to reasonable offers.
