Description

Pair of solid beech lounge chairs by Poul Jensen, fully refinished and reupholstered in a moon rock houndstooth chenille. The shape formed by the arms and their transition to the rear legs gives these iconic chairs their namesake. The arms feature a slight flare at the outer edges, while the slatted backs resemble designs by Kofod-Larsen. Both chairs came from the home of the original owner and were acquired together in the 1960s. One bears the Selig placard. These chairs remain an evergreen example of Danish modern design. Both have been fully refinished and reupholstered with new jute webbing, fabric, and cushions.
