Rare antique 19th-century schoolhouse bench made by Baker, Pratt & Co., New York. The cast-iron sides are stamped "BAKER, PRATT & CO. N.Y." on one arm and "REIS'D Feb. 21.71" on the other — confirming the original 1871 patented design. Features: • Solid cast-iron ends with ornate scrollwork arms • Wood plank seat & back with rich patina • Decorative iron crest with original number plate ("10") • 50-inch length — perfect for entryways
