It stands over 300 ft. tall from the ground up. Most significantly, for many years it has been the first glimpse of the United States for many immigrants have arrived to the U.S. by ship. Furthermore, the Statue of Liberty Silver Dollar is a significant coin as it reminds us of the relationship between both France and the United States. On October 28, of 1886, France presented the Statue of Liberty to the U.S. in order to celebrate the signing of the Declaration of Independence and to commemorate the bond and friendship between both countries.
