Once again, had some old cabinets (these were once some old Sonics, they sounded awful at best, so I gutted them and used some much better components to create a much better speaker. The cabinets are rough but noise free, I did quite a bit of testing of drivers when I put these together. The mids were overbearing and I needed to make a few changes to the crossover to achieve a much smoother sound. The tweeters are actually pretty nice, the bass is respectable and blends well with the overall sound. These are not something that would be considered to be great speakers based on their appearance. You may want to recover them with new vinyl. I didn't have enough to do both speakers so I didn't bother. A roll of vinyl is like $6 to $8 and it's easy to apply. They have 5-way binding posts, wires were upgraded to 18ga, crossover uses a coil with caps as it should. The sound is nice and clean. I will have them set up to hear before you buy, I have a few other speakers like this that I'm selling for cheap. Located near 67th and Olive Cash only.
