I write you a few lines to inform you that the widow M.C. McClendon that is Allen McClendons widow as he is dead, has sued for her _____ of 150 acres of the land that I sold to Col. Haiet? If you have any of the land papers that has got her dowery on it, I want you to send them or if you know anything about the case. I have asked the Laurens? and they say she is ____ to ____ it. (hard to read), if I can make it up to any advantage am thinking of doing so. If not I will have to stand the test. we will have a call court the 4th of July next.
