Description
A beautiful hybrid Wilhelm Eberle 3/4-size double bass, crafted in Germany by the former Musima Company in the 1990s. Known for their durability and balanced tone, Eberle basses have long been favored by orchestral and jazz players alike. This particular instrument features: Carved spruce top Laminate roundback and ribs Beech neck and scroll Ebony fittings and maple bridge German single-plate tuning machines Included with the bass are: 🎻 Bow 🪶 Quiver 🧴 Rosin 🎵 Tuner 🧳 Soft cover A solid workhorse of a bass, this instrument delivers warm tone and reliable playability. Originally sold in 1998 by a Texas double bass dealer for around $3,000, it’s rare to see instruments of this quality decrease in value, but that’s simply the market today — not a reflection of its craftsmanship or longevity. This bass was gently used throughout high school, then financed and maintained since 2016. It’s been well cared for and remains in great playing condition. I’m now ready to part ways with it to someone who will continue its journey. 📦 Pickup only (unless buyer covers shipping — it’s extensive due to size). 💰 Taking offers — open to reasonable negotiations. STRING LENGTH: 41.5" LENGTH OF BACK: 43.5" UPPER BOUTS: 20" C-BOUTS: 14.5" LOWER BOUTS: 26" Eb NECK
