Description

Two tier occasional table with one drawer. Empire style Inlaid mahogany and rosewood with gilt border. The top is painted watery blue with the map of the state of Florida etched out along with a small compass. Hand painted by local artist Brian White. Mahogany tapered cabriolet legs meet at a first tier shelf, with sides and back, and finish with mahogany feet, originally gilded. The table was not damaged in the painting or the etching, which was done by outlining the shapes in paint, not by chiseling the wood.
