Description
I have a 2022 Atkin ' The Forty Three' for sale. This guitar marries the best of the Gibson J45 1942 Banner Edition with Atkin's modern building techniques to give it the best of both worlds, A new J45 and the Gibson 1942 banner edition. This guitar is customized with an East Indian rosewood fretboard and bridge instead of the standard Santos rosewood, giving the guitar a deep brown fretboard and bridge instead of the lighter Santos and a more resonant tone. If you've not gotten a chance to play an Atkin, They are stupidly good. This guitar is easily the most melodic, resonant and musical guitar I have. You feel the thump when you play this wonderful instrument. The bass is the lowest bass i've ever heard, not a muddy bass but it's a low growl, you hear the bass notes and for that matter every strings separate contribution to the sound. I took this in on trade and I havent had any regrets, except - I have gotten so used to and heavily prefer a 1 3/4" nut that I want to sell this to buy the exact guitar with the 1 3/4" inch nut that i've found available on the web. I am the third owner of this guitar, i've owned it for less than 6 months. I cannot find any defects or problems with the guitar that I wouldnt attribute to the purposeful relicing process. This guitar is super super light and you feel every note when you have it against your chest. If I didnt find the 1 3/4th at a US seller I'd for sure be keeping this. I recently had the guitar professionally set up - The frets were polished and leveled, the nut was readjusted so that all the notes ring out very well with no muted notes anywhere along the fretboard. It is in wonderful playing condition. Comes with the Atkin branded hardshell case. If you happen to have a 1 3/4" inch version of this and would like the 1 11/16th's version, I would be willing to add cash to do a trade. Either way, please do not hesitate to ask questions. This guitar has had a tone-right put onto it for many hours so it is pretty opened up as it is, not to mention the baked sitka top helped to have it open from the moment it came off the line. $3950 OBO - Please make your offers reasonable so we don't both waste our time. I'm selling this because I want something different, not out of need. This is used but not less valuable, I'm the lowest price I can find.
