Fence In-Line Wire Tighteners, box of all new 12 tighteners, galvanized steel frame and cast tooth gear, spring loaded locking clip, ratchet style tightener. Approx. 9/16"x9/16"x1/2" turning knob for (5/8" or 16mm) socket or 15mm or 19/32" open-end (or adjustable-jaw) wrench; the open-end wrench will fit and work better than a socket. Start wire thru hole or wrap around shaft; can pull the fence wire as tight as possible without use of fence puller, and then start tightening the In-line Wire Tightener with wrench to desired tension. As fence wire relaxes tension over time, just use wrench to retighten fence wire. Width between tooth gears is 1-1/16", and dia. below the root of the gear teeth is 1-3/4". Overall dimension is 4-3/4"L x 2-3/8"H x 2-1/2"W. These Tighteners are not for barbed wire.
