Richly grained oak rests on tapered stanchions of hand-cast metal, the mix of materials and textures imparting a rugged, organic aesthetic. Carefully calibrated proportions lend refinement. Top handcrafted of white oak veneers and kiln-dried engineered wood Brass base is hand-cast solid brass with an antiqued finish; Pewter base is hand-cast aluminum with an antiqued finish; Bronze base is hand-cast brass with an antiqued Bronze finish Solid metal table base is hand cast by skilled artisans employing an ancient foundry technique known in French as cire perdue (lost-wax). The base is individually sculpted by pouring molten metal into a custom wax mold. As the wax melts away, the finished piece emerges. Oak is wire brushed to highlight its rich grain; a sealed wax finish enhances its color Metal has an antiqued finish with visible highs and lows This item is artisan crafted with meticulous care.
